the third ap-ppn annual conference, beijing, march 30-april 1 2018
“bridging the gap among policy research, education and practice in asia pacific region”
hosted by school of public policy & management, tsinghua university, beijing
following the two successful conferences in hong kong in 2016 and chiang mai in 2017, the asia-pacific public policy network (ap-ppn) will hold its third annual conference at tsinghua university in beijing on march 30-apr.1, 2018.
researchers, graduate students as well as practitioners are welcome to present papers in the following fields:
1. policy & politics
2. policy process
3. economic policy
4. social policy
5. regulatory policy
6. public policy education
7. regional collaboration in public policy
8. others
special mentoring sessions chaired by senior scholars will be held for advanced graduate students on pre-conference (mar.30, 2018). the goal is to help students improve their writing and presentation skills.
registration fee: early bird (before feb 15): us$90 or rmb¥600, waived for students.
regular rate (after feb 15): us$120 or rmb¥800.
on-site registration: us$180 or rmb¥1200.
participants need to pay their own accommodation and transportation expenses.

the ap-ppn steering committee and local organizing committee will review the abstracts and announce selection results by email no later than jan. 31, 2018.

participants need to pay their own accommodation and transportation expenses. the host will, however, provide two complimentary lunches on mar.31 and apr. 1, and a gala dinner in the evening of mar. 31. free tea-breaks will also be provided during the conference days.
the host will recommend a list of hotels around the tsinghua campus which will have a conference discount rate.
for participants in need of visas to enter china, the host will provide an official invitation letter from tsinghua university to the consular offices of chinese embassies. please be advised to apply for visa asap.
